Rev. Grove Curtois

of Trinity Hall, Cambridge (Matriculated 1744, LLB 1750), and freeman of the city of Lincoln. Baptised 14 May 1721 at Hainton, younger son of Rev. Rowland Curtois, and died 27 September 1790. Ordained Priest 4 March 1747 at St. James, Westminster, by the Bishop of Lincoln. Rector of South Willingham 17 March 1747 - 1790 (Patron: Francis, Lord Middleton); Curate at Potterhanworth 15 June 1747; Vicar of Tealby 12 June 1753 - 1764 (Patron, the Earl of Scarborough); of Benniworth 12 October 1764-1790.

Married at Lincoln St. Martin, 8 July 1756, Mary Mattson. She was 17 at the time, and died January 1808.

Issue one son and one daughter:

  1. Rowland Curtois, baptised 19 September 1757 at South Willingham.

  2. Mary Curtois, baptised 19 January 1759 at South Willingham.
