SUICIDE OF AN ENGLISHMAN AT FLORENCE.

The Daily News Florence correspondent writes: -- A sad case of suicide has occurred here, an Englishman, Mr. Rowland Curtis, having blown out his brains with a revolver. Mr. Curtis, who was only 33 years of age, spent part of each year in Florence, where he always resided with an Italian family. On Tuesday morning, as he failed to appear at the usual hour, one of the members of the family knocked repeatedly at the door, but, obtaining no reply, she opened it and looked in. She was horrified to see him lying in a pool of blood, and quite dead. No reason can be assigned for the terrible act. Mr. Curtis having been in very affluent circumstances; but he complained of having suffered from neuralgia. He was well know in Florence, and his tragic death has caused quite a sensation here.
