The Will of me the Rev. Peregrine Harrison Curtois of Branston in the County of the City of Lincoln Clerk. Whereas, d by virtue of a certain Indenture Tripartite bearing date July 30th 1773 between me the said Peregrine Harrison Curtois of the first part, the Rev Charles Elsdon Bagge of King's Lynn D.D. and Barbara Bagge of the same Spinster my late wife, of the second part, and Edward Elsdon of King's Lynn Merchant, the Rev Francis Willis of Dunston in the County of Lincoln Clerk and Chas Elsden Bagge of King's Lynn Gent. of the third part, executed previous to and in contemplation of my marriage, the principal sums of Two Thousand Pounds and Three Thousand Pounds were covenanted &c. to be paid to the said Francis Willis and Chas Elsden Bagge in Trust to pay the Interest to me and after my death to my said late wife and after the decease of the Survivor to all or any of my children by my late wife as I & my wife or the survivor of us should direct, and whereas on the marriage of my late daughter Barbara Curtois with William Ellis Esq. I settled the sum of Two Thousand Five Hundred Pounds ...NOW I the said Peregrine Harrison Curtois do direct that the sum of Two Thousand Five Hundred Pounds - the residue of the above mentioned sums - shall be assigned to my son the Rev Peregrine Curtois.
I bequeath to my servant Elizabeth Parker an annuity of £20 to be paid without any deduction - also for her life a Cottage in Branston and after her decease I give and devise the same unto my said son.
I bequeath unto my late servant William Newton £15 to be paid within two months after my decease.
And as to All & Singular Other my Manors Messuages Cottages Closes Lands Tenements and Heridataments whether Freehold Leasehold or Copyhold and All Other my real estate and also all my personal estate I bequeath to my son the said Rev Peregrine Curtois subject to the payment of my debts and Funeral expenses &c, and I do hereby Appoint my said Son Sole Executor. In Witness whereof I have to this my Will, contained in Two Sheets of Paper, to the First Sheet thereof set my Hand and to this last my Hand and Seal April 16th 1814.
